The Nommontu Foundation Inc

The Nommontu Foundation's mission is to invest in the livelihoods, creativity, and wellbeing of women and girls, refugees and other displaced populations to promote human rights, dignity and equality for all.

The foundation maintains a diversified portfolio across six primary issue areas:

Advancing Health and Human Rights for Women and Girls — Funding interventions that remove barriers and obstacles for women and girls at the community level, recognizing that access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities creates positive outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.

Supporting Refugees and Other Displaced Populations — Supporting organizations that provide services to refugees and displaced persons from war-torn countries, with particular emphasis on the safety and livelihoods of displaced women and girls.

Cultivating Artists and Storytellers — Identifying intersections with the arts where expressions of self through theater, music, film, and other disciplines support the human spirit, build tolerance, and create meaningful dialogue for social change.

Improving Wellbeing — Maintaining a small portfolio of grants focused on wellness interventions, including meditation and mindfulness practices, particularly for individuals and communities impacted by violence and displacement.

Protecting the Environment — Supporting organizations improving environmental health and helping communities reduce and prepare for climate change impacts.

Protecting Animals — Dedicated to protecting animals, particularly abandoned or mistreated dogs, and the ecosystems upon which they depend.

Discretionary Funding & Special Initiatives — Reserving funds for strategic opportunities aligned with the foundation's core interests in health, human rights, and displaced populations.
