Primary Mission: To provide immediate financial assistance to the surviving families of public safety officers and firefighters killed or seriously injured in the line of duty, and to provide other forms of assistance which improve the safety and welfare of public safety officers, firefighters, and their families.
Program Areas:
Critical Incidents: Financial assistance provided to families of public safety officers and firefighters upon death, line of duty injury, and those affected by life-altering situations. During the year ending December 31, 2024, assistance was provided to 412 total families.
Mental Health: Assistance with mental health prevention and intervention services for officers and firefighters struggling with the impact of their public safety profession. During 2024, 1,612 officers and firefighters received these benefits, including direct care and access to health and wellness programs.
Scholarships: Undergraduate financial assistance for immediate family members (spouses and children) of active, retired, or deceased Arizona public safety officers and firefighters. In 2024, 109 scholarships were provided.
Safety Equipment: Injury prevention equipment purchases for departments. Since 2004, the organization has provided over $3.98 million to public safety agencies to enhance officer and firefighter safety.
Wellness Resources: The organization provides bulletproof and fireproof wellness apps delivering critical health and wellness resources to Arizona's public safety members, including a new wellness newsletter for first responders.
