THE FRANCES W. NORDSTROM GUILD WAS FOUNDED IN 1985 TO SUPPORT SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL (A 501(C)(3) TAX-EXEMPT HOSPITAL) BY RAISING AWARENESS AND FUNDS FOR THE UNCOMPENSATED CARE PROGRAM, WHICH HELPS GUARANTEE THAT CHILDREN AT SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL RECEIVE THE BEST CARE REGARDLESS OF ABILITY TO PAY.THE GUILD WAS ESTABLISHED IN MEMORY OF FRANCES W. NORDSTROM, WHO WAS A MEMBER OF THE PAUL PIGOTT GUILD. SHE WAS AN ENTHUSIASTIC ADVOCATE AND VOLUNTEER FOR SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND ALSO SERVED ON THE HOSPITAL'S BOARD OF TRUSTEES. FRANCES W. NORDSTROM GUILD HAS INSPIRED MANY TALENTED WOMEN TO COMMIT PRECIOUS TIME AND RESOURCES IN SUPPORT OF THE MANY CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES WHO TURN TO SEATTLE CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL FOR HELP.
