THE PURPOSE OF MECHANICAL CONTRACTORS PROGRESS COUNCIL OF CENTRAL INDIANA IS TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP MECHANICAL CONTRACTING INDUSTRY WITHIN THE PLUMBERS AND STEAMFITTERS LOCAL #440 U.A. JURISDICTION AS DEFINED IN A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ASSOCIATION AND LOCAL #440. THE PURPOSE OF THE COUNCIL IS TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR THE EXCHANGE OF IDEAS, TO REPRESENT MEMBERS IN THE LOCAL LABOR NEGOTIATIONS, GRIEVANCES, APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING AND BENEFIT PLANS, TO REPRESENT MEMBERS IN LEGISLATIVE AND GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS BEFORE STATE AND LOCAL BODIES, AND TO HOLD EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR MEMBERS AND EMPLOYEES.
